IELTS ID Requirements

To take the IELTS test, you will need to provide a valid form of identification that meets the requirements set by the test center. The following are the typical ID requirements for IELTS:

  • A valid passport – this is the most commonly accepted form of identification for IELTS. It must be an original document, with a clear photo of the test taker, and should not be expired.
  • National ID card – some countries allow national ID cards as a valid form of identification. If this is the case in your country, you will need to present your original ID card with a clear photo of yourself.

It’s important to note that the identification you present must be valid and match the name you used when registering for the IELTS test. If you do not have a valid form of identification, you will not be allowed to take the test. Additionally, it’s recommended that you bring multiple forms of identification with you to the test center in case there are any issues with your primary ID document.
