Medical Information Assistant

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

The Medical Information Assistant certificate program prepares students to work in healthcare establishments as executive/senior assistants.

DURATION: 21 weeks

THE PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE

The program provides students with comprehensive medical administrative knowledge and office skills to make them successful as assistants in healthcare settings.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12 or equivalent or Mature Student Status. Courses are open to any applicant who possesses a good command of the English language and can follow instructions. Applicants whose first language is not English must provide proof of English proficiency.
Full-time students must attend the required hours per week as per the course schedule and may do so at times convenient to them.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Medical Information Assistants provide support to senior level executives in clinics, hospitals, associations, and other establishments. Upward mobility in this role is possible with experience, motivation, dedication, and a positive attitude.
