How do you qualify
Criteria for admission into any Diploma or Advanced Certificate program includes:
- Attending the initial interview and receiving a positive recommendation of an Admissions Counselor from our Student Services department.
- Having a fair understanding of the English language. Proof of English Language proficiency beyond the interview process, may be required.
- Prospective students must be Grade 12 graduates, or equivalent, or have Mature Student status (18 years of age with at least one year out of High school) and subject to the discretion of the Campus Director. Mature Students and those who cannot supply proof of Grade 12 graduation, will be required to complete an Entrance Examination to properly assess their readiness to participate in their chosen career program.
Students need to be able to work with an individualized learning system. Applicants must read and certify that they have received and read a copy of the College’s Student Handbook, any updates and inserts as well as the Enrolment Contract. Some programs may also have additional entrance requirements or prerequisite courses.
Choose a program that is right for you
Start by viewing the various Diploma programs that we have available under Programs and choose a Diploma or Certificate program. Then, set up an appointment to meet with an Admissions Counselor from our Student Services Office to discuss the details and have a credit for prior learning assessment done at the same time.

Operation Career Transition (Canadian Armed Forces Only)
Academy of Learning Career College is proud to help members of our Canadian Armed Forces transition successfully from Combat to College to Career.
We offer FREE Job Search and Résumé Writing course to Transitioning members of the Canadian Armed Forces with both traditional and innovative job-search techniques and resume writing skills required to gain employment in today’s competitive marketplace.
Participants learn theoretical and hands-on practical approaches to ready our troops for a successful transition from military service to civilian life.
